The breathtaking grand finale not only unveiled four remarkable winners hailing from different corners of India but also served as a symbol of the ever-strengthening cultural connection between India and South Korea.
Face of India 2023, now in its 8th season, ignited a nationwide frenzy with an overwhelming response from all corners of the country. The distinguished panel of judges, which included the venerable Mr. Badal Saboo, Chairman of Face of India, was graced by the presence of renowned figures such as Ayeesha S. Aiman, Shibani Kashyap, and Ruhi Chaturvedi. The star-studded evening reached its pinnacle when the chief guest, Bollywood megastar Jackie Shroff, brought his charisma and charm to the stage, adding unparalleled glory to the event.
The evening’s highlight was the announcement of winners: Ms. Nishchala Dharva and Mr. Navee Rautela from Indore as Face of India 2023. Mr. Akash Jadhav and Ms. Sushmita Savale from Mumbai were the second winners. Mr. Lucky Saran from Bikaner, Rajasthan, won the Fantoo award through online voting. They’ll represent India at the Asia New Star Model Contest 2023 in Busan, South Korea, competing for the “Face of Asia” title against 26 other Asian countries.
The evening also witnessed a sensational fusion of fashion, sustainability, and tradition as renowned Indian designers like Ken Ferns, Bespokewala by Himali Raj, and Saisha Shinde showcased their collections. Their designs masterfully interweave sustainable fashion with contemporary style, all while paying homage to India’s rich tradition.
Mr. Badal Saboo, Chairman of Face of India and Managing Director of Pune Fashion Week, expressed his delight in witnessing top Indian models compete on a global stage. He emphasized the platform’s mission to provide fair representation to aspiring talents from all corners of India and expressed hope that India would secure the title at the Grand Finale in Korea.
